In Memory of Mervyn Jackson

By Eden Mitchell

In memory of someone special...

Welcome to my Forever in our Hearts tribute page. This page is a place for family and friends to share their memories of my Papa, Mervyn Jackson.

I have decided to raise donations to support the Heart Foundation, in memory of the loving man he was.

I’m raising funds to support their work because I believe in a future free from heart disease. Your gift will support heart disease research, treatment and education that provide hope for thousands of Australians.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you’ll get a receipt by email as soon as you make your donation

Thank you so much for you support ❤️

Papa's Story

Wednesday 17th Feb
Papa was born in the historic railway town of Peterborough, South Australia. After a challenging upbringing, he fought his way through, becoming the station master of the area.

Papa went on to meet the love of his life, Lorna (or Nana 😉) - going on to have three beautiful children (Sharon, Gary and Robyn). The family was situated in Adelaide, with Papa taking on more and more inspirational developmental roles that formed city icons like the Rundle Mall Myer Centre.

What we all loved about Papa so much, however, was that despite the challenges he had faced in his lifetime, there was nothing he loved more than his family.

Of course, his wonderful sense of humour, the catchy tunes he would create and his passion for the Adelaide Crows Football Club (that was instilled into every family member) was just the icing on the cake.

We love and miss you so much Papa, not a day goes by where you are not in our thoughts. You have set the bar very high for what a man should be. Every time we see a crow, we think of you xoxo

Thank you for your support
