In memory of Jen Peck

Words cannot fully express the depth of sorrow we feel at the loss of such a remarkable educator, mentor, and soul. Miss Jen was more than just a teacher at Forestville ELC — she was a guiding light whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on every child and family she touched. For our son Rafael, Miss Jen was a source of joy and safety — her welcoming smile at the door a daily reassurance of the love and care that awaited him. It breaks our hearts that he will no longer be greeted by that smile, and that our daughter Gabriela will not have the chance to experience her gentle presence firsthand. Miss Jen had a gift for making every child feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Her passion for early childhood education was evident in everything she did — from the thoughtful updates she shared with us as parents to her commitment to teaching about the beauty of indigenous nature and the core Australian values she so deeply embodied. These lessons, infused with love and meaning, will continue to grow in the hearts of the children she nurtured. Miss Jen’s legacy lives on in every curious question, every kind gesture, and every little spark of wonder she helped ignite. We are forever grateful for the time we shared with her and the foundation she laid in our children’s lives. She will be missed beyond words, but never forgotten.

We are so grateful to have met Jen and had her teach our daughter Camilla so many wonderful things. Her kindness and cheerfulness will be missed and we’re so sad that we’ll no longer see her smile at drop off.

We were so lucky to have Miss Jen be an integral part of both Mya and Vinnie's daycare years. She was such a special and very loved part of our lives. We are so fortunate to have beautiful people like Miss Jen educating and loving our children the way that she did. We will miss you and will always remember you. Miss Jen’s passion and love for the centre and Garigal National Park was one of the main reasons that attracted us to Forestville ELC. We will always drive past your house and look up the driveway as if you were still there. Taken away too soon but you’ll forever be in our hearts. Thank you Miss Jen for all that you’ve done! In memory of Jen who more than a friend, like family to me. Thank you for your care, wisdom, and warmth. You were always there with love and strength. I will carry your kindness with me always. Your love for the land, plants, animals, and teaching children was truly inspiring. This donation is made to honour your memory and your beautiful heart.

Ms Jen was passionate, cheerful and welcoming not only to the children, but also to the parents. We were lucky to have her to care for our 2 daughters at Forestville ELC. We feel great sadness about her passing. We will miss her at Forestville ELC and in the local community. We will always remember Ms Jen.

Miss Jen was part of the Heart and Soul of ELC Services for all the years we had our son attending. She was a sunshine everyday. She could bond with anybody, spontaneously. She was so full of love, depth and wise words. Such an open and kind soul. I missed her when she was not around during pick-up or drop-off, and I will miss her even more now that she is gone. Gone too soon but not forgotten, never. All my love goes to her family, friends, and the educators of ELC Services. Time is a healer. It is time to remember, time to be alive and thankful of good health. It is time to remember and honour Jen, forever and always.

Jen. was always kind and thoughtful to me and everyone she met. I will always remember her beautiful smile and how she loved to laugh .

Jen was more than a friend, she was a part of our family. We shared so many wonderful memories together. Words cannot express how much joy we experienced with her. She was amazing teammate who filled my days full of happiness and laughter, and a fantastic educator to Stefan who was happy to see her always. Ms. Jen was a truly caring and kind childcare teacher who touched the hearts of all the children in her care. Our little Andre loved her dearly and will always remember her as his special ‘grannie at daycare.’ Her warmth and nurturing spirit made such a difference in his life. May she rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in knowing how deeply she was cherished by the children she cared for.
